The famous Vietnamese ointment for external use Cobratoxan.

Composition and pharmacological action
The ointment combines three active ingredients that mutually enhance each other's effects:
• Cobra venom (0.0005 g): Has a powerful local analgesic (pain-relieving) and anti-inflammatory effect at the tissue level.
• Methyl salicylate (2.8 g): An anti-inflammatory agent that penetrates deep into tissue, reduces swelling, and improves local blood microcirculation.
• Menthol (0.588 g): Has a mild cooling, then warming and distracting effect, helping to quickly dull the intensity of pain.

📋 Indications for use
Kobratoxan ointment is used to relieve pain and reduce inflammation in diseases of the musculoskeletal system:
• Injuries and bruises: Sprains, muscle strains, dislocations, and closed sports injuries.
• Muscle pain: Myositis (muscle inflammation) and severe muscle fatigue after physical exertion.
• Joint diseases: Arthritis, osteoarthritis, arthralgia, rheumatism.
• Neuralgia: Inflammation of the nerve endings, radiculitis, sciatica, lumbago (lower back pain).

🧴 Directions for use
This product is intended strictly for external use. Please check the packaging and original insert before use.
• Dosage: Squeeze out a small amount of ointment, approximately the size of a match head (about 2-3 grams).
• Application: Apply the product to clean, dry skin directly over the painful area and gently rub in with light, circular motions until completely absorbed.
• Frequency: Use the ointment 1-2 times a day (for severe pain).
• Duration of treatment: The optimal course of continuous treatment is up to 10 days. Continued use beyond this period should be discussed with your doctor.
• ⚠️ Hygiene: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap immediately after applying the ointment! Avoid accidental contact with mucous membranes (eyes, mouth) and open wounds.

⛔ Contraindications and limitations
Due to the content of snake venom toxin and methyl salicylate, the ointment has serious limitations:
 
1. Skin damage: Do not apply to open wounds, scratches, abrasions, burns, or dermatitis or pustular lesions in the treatment area.
2. Allergies and sensitivities: Individual intolerance to the components (especially aspirin, salicylates, or snake venom).
3. Pregnancy and lactation: Contraindicated during all stages of pregnancy and breastfeeding.
4. Age: Do not use in children under 5 years of age.
5. Severe pathologies: Severe renal or hepatic insufficiency, active pulmonary tuberculosis, febrile conditions.
